I’m no geneticist, but I’ve heard F2 hybrids of anything can be hugely variable with dominant traits ranging from either parent. Also how f2 compares to f1 on their cold hardiness aswell as growth rate. I have an f2 and am wondering how the look of the palm compares to f1. A guy in my area has them for sale pick up at 200 for a baby 1 gallon pot , he had 4 now he has 3 , i got one today and I am looking forward to watching it grow Regardless, good luck and hopefully you’ll be able to get a hold of this great palm sooner rather than later.. Bigger ” seeder ” at Kopsick sits close to where the collection’s Veitchia grove is located.

Good stuff when ever someone finds a full green or the lucky charm let me know would like a small one it’s almost like finding Waldo There is full green and mostly green. Exactly I believe even the green form has some at some point I saw a mature green form produce some variation. Did not notice the variegation earlier but as Jim pointed out, on the lower leaf there it is. Yeah I could tell it is 100% green as well. If anyone can find a pic of a small full green please post to show the difference thank you
- Apparently when the greenies are much older they can also put out the odd variegated leaf.

- There is full green and mostly green.
- I know of 1 other grower in Cape Coral that gets viable seed.
- You did not get a palm that was basically bare root and a palm you specifically said you did not want!!!

I would LOVE to own that ‘ugly’ palm. I bought a 7 gallon from Premier Growers about 8 months ago and foxy gold casino it’s already outgrowing the 25 gallon pot I moved it into. I have 3-7g (one slight variegation)
The seeds that Mike Evans germinated were F2, there is no guarantee they will be Wodveitchias. Pretty sure they keep their variegation, at this stage we can already see the difference between the variegated lot and the greenies. The foxtails have been grown in some shade, and the foxyladies have been growing in at least 1/2 day Sun. I had about 7 seeds so I just planted them all, one popped.
Foxy Lady in Trouble!
I never said the palm looked bad I said it was basically bare root and variegated which I specifically said I didn’t want!!! He is the only one to have a problem with their foxy lady order, and started to complain even before it was delivered. 1 of each 3 and 7 is slightly variegated with 2 of each being greens. Good quality plant and amazing growth. Here is the palm, looks very healthy aside from the obvious cold spots on the old fronds. F2 would be a foxy lady x foxy lady (Exc)x(WxV) rather than back crossed with either parent.
Well mine has a sparse seed set that dropped today. If this one produces seed, you should be able to tell if they have a chance.. While the largest would flower & produce seed often, most seed i’d collect were empty or basically liquid when opened.
- They have VIP cashback bonuses, a wondrous casino welcome bonus and many more offers.
- There are more palms than Foxy Lady.
- Sometime even though they are hard, they float.
- I’ve been growing this foxy lady a few years now and I think it’s time to rehome her.
- Even in the slowest sickliest palm, you should notice some movement of the spear – even 1/8 of an inch in a week assures that your palm is still alive.
- By the looks of it, drying and wilting, what’re the odds of a rebound if I get it in the ground with profuse water?
- FoxyGold Casino knows how to give worthy bonuses to their players.
What is the difference between Foxtail & Foxylady seedlings?
But I have had a foxy lady from came off of one of my foxtails…. Anyone have success with seeds from a foxy lady? After many years and trees that are ungodly tall, my foxy lady, 1 of 2 dropped 2 very ripe very real looking seeds. I’m hoping that the foxy lady will turn all green it only has 1 frond that is variegated.
I have some flowering/fruiting foxtails near an adonidia doing the same. I have a couple of completely green ones in my yard and there isn’t a bit of variegation I think it’s better classifies as mostly green or mostly variegated that’s my conclusion

F1 vs f2 foxy lady
I moved the pot to a shadier spot in my yard and applied copious water this morning, and went home at lunch and gave it another soaking. A plant like this that makes tons of roots hates being in a pot made for Hawaii or FL. It’s a bad combination for the palm to deal with root trauma and to fight full scorching sun at the same time. 300+ palms, 90+ species in the ground Do you know if this palm was field grown, dug up, and then placed in its pot?
Here is the 5th seed that failed float test. I picked up a few seed that was on the ground while taking pics. I have 2 that look just like a foxtail. I know of 1 other grower in Cape Coral that gets viable seed. The vast majority of the good looking seed are NOT viable. Sometime even though they are hard, they float.
